Baseball Recap: Loomis Chaffee School Takes a Loss

The home team had come away the winner the last six times Loomis Chaffee School and Kingswood Oxford had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Pelicans took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wyverns on Wednesday. The Pelicans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wyverns apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Loomis Chaffee School's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Kingswood Oxford, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Loomis Chaffee School will challenge rival Hotchkiss School at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Kingswood Oxford is set to take on their familiar foe Trinity-Pawling School at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
