Softball Recap: Monroe Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Monroe, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Snohomish Panthers a 6-0 shutout on Wednesday. For the Bearcats, this counts as revenge for the 5-4 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

The result came thanks to Addy Bryant's shutout, as she gave up just five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Scarlett Nagy was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Hadley Oylear also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Monroe's record now sits at 3-4. As for Snohomish, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2.

Coming up, Monroe will face off against Cascade at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Snohomish, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Snohomish Panthers duke it out with Oak Harbor Wildcats at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
