Basketball Recap: M'nason Smothers' Big Game Can't Quite Lead New Buffalo over Eau Claire

New Buffalo was the 85-56 winner over Eau Claire when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The New Buffalo Bison fell to the Eau Claire Beavers 51-46. The Bison have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

New Buffalo's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was M'Nason Smothers, who posted 12 points and three steals. Lucas Forker was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 13 points and nine boards.

New Buffalo's record now sits at 10-7. As for Eau Claire, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-11.

New Buffalo has already played their next contest (against Our Lady of the Lake Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Eau Claire has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Buchanan.
