Kermit's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 12-7. As for Alpine, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-7.

Kermit has already played their next contest (against Anthony), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Alpine didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 51-31 win against Balmorhea on the 24th.
