Softball Recap: Palmyra-Eagle Triumphs

Palmyra-Eagle won the last time they faced Cambridge and things went their way on Monday too. The Panthers walked away with a 5-1 win over the Bluejays.

Palmyra-Eagle's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Briahna Covarrubias, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another was Teagan Koutsky, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Palmyra-Eagle's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Cambridge, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palmyra-Eagle will challenge Williams Bay at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Cambridge, they will take on Wisconsin Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
