Baseball Game Preview: Blue Ridge Tigers vs. Leonard Tigers

Blue Ridge came up short against Gunter on Friday, falling 13-1.

Blue Ridge saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Verde, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Leonard, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Pottsboro by a score of 14-11 on Thursday. The Tigers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Leonard now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Blue Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Everything went Blue Ridge's way against Leonard when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Blue Ridge made off with a 28-1 victory. Will Blue Ridge repeat their success, or does Leonard have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
