Basketball Recap: Turlock Takes a Loss

Turlock's game on Friday was all tied up 35-35 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 69-62 to the Gregori Jaguars. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 551st, while the Jaguars are ranked 99th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Gregori to victory, but perhaps none more so than Raphael Rosas, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine boards. Jayson Powers was another key player, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds.

Turlock's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-11. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Gregori, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-3.

Turlock has already played their next matchup (against Pitman), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Gregori has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Enochs.
