Basketball Recap: Chevak Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Chevak waltzed into their match on Thursday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They enjoyed a cozy 49-31 victory over the Scammon Bay Eagles. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 62-50 victory two weeks ago.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chevak to victory, but perhaps none more so than Laney Green, who posted 13 points. Kali Hill was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Chevak pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.4 points over those games. As for Scammon Bay, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-6.

Chevak wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 91-46 victory against Akiachak on the 13th. Scammon Bay does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
