Baseball Recap: Shikellamy Takes a Loss

Shikellamy fell victim to Shamokin Area and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 2-0. The Braves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Indians earlier this season, when they won 11-5.

Shikellamy got a good showing from Brady Kurtz, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Kurtz has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

Shikellamy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Shamokin Area, their record is now 7-13.

As of now, neither Shikellamy nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
