Alvord is 10-0 against Chico since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Alvord Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Chico Dragons at 8:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Alvord is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Slidell on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Alvord was outmatched by Slidell and fell 71-42. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Greyhounds recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, Chico fought the good fight in their overtime match against Tioga on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 65-63. The Dragons' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it seven in a row.

Alvord will have to contain Jordan Weiland as he made an impact in Chico's last game. He dropped a double-double on 37 points and 14 boards. Weiland is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Taylor Weiland, who posted two points and five assists.

Chico's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Alvord, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.

Everything went Alvord's way against Chico when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as Alvord made off with a 75-52 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Weiland, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Alvord still be able to contain Weiland? There's only one way to find out.
