Oxnard is 7-1 against San Marcos since November of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Oxnard Yellowjackets are taking a road trip to challenge the San Marcos Royals at 7:00 p.m. Oxnard knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully San Marcos likes a good challenge.

Last Wednesday, Oxnard was fully in charge, breezing past Buena 74-30. The Yellowjackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, San Marcos didn't have quite enough to beat Rio Mesa on Wednesday and fell 64-62. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Royals came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Spartans are ranked 308th).

Oxnard's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for San Marcos, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-6.

Oxnard came up short against San Marcos in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 68-60. Can Oxnard avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
