Baseball Recap: Ridgeview Drops Season-High Score on Bakersfield

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ridgeview). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Bakersfield Drillers a 15-0 shutout on Friday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Wolf Pack with their most commanding win of the season.

The team relied heavily on Jacob Quintero, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, five RBI, and three runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Adrian Sanchez was another key player, earning four runs and two stolen bases.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Ridgeview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The win (which was Ridgeview's third in a row) raised their record to 14-11. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Bakersfield, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-22-1.
