Saturday, 1:00 PM

Moses Brown is set to face off against Middletown in a playoff match this Saturday at 1:00 PM. Middletown will have its work cut out for it since Moses Brown boasts a defense that has allowed an average of only 12.44 points per game.

Last game was the first rocky defensive outing for Moses Brown this year. It was crushed by Shea 46 - 16 last week. The team got a solid performance out of sophomore quarterback Michael Walsh (he picked up 72 yards on the ground); unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win. Walsh has been a consistent playmaker for Moses Brown as this was the 8th good game in a row from him.

Meanwhile, Middletown brought the heat last game after its low-scoring effort (zero points) in the match before. It breezed past Pilgrim last week with a final score of 34 - 8. Middletown won its match by a margin much greater than the state rankings suggested.

Moses Brown's defeat dropped it to 7-2 while Middletown's win brought it to 5-3. Middletown is looking to hand Moses Brown its first back-to-back losses of the season. We'll find out if Moses Brown can avoid giving it that satisfaction.
