Terryville and Wamogo Regional are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Terryville Kangaroos will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wamogo Regional Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Terryville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 311 points over their last five games.
Terryville pushed their score all the way to 59 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They suffered a rough 79-59 defeat at the hands of Nonnewaug.
Wamogo Regional posted their closest victory yet this season on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 64-61 victory over Thomaston. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wamogo Regional to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anthony Turtoro, who scored 21 points along with five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Turtoro has scored all season. Josh Delello was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Terryville's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-2. As for Wamogo Regional, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Terryville suffered a grim 57-36 defeat to Wamogo Regional in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Terryville, Carter Nordland (who scored 25 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
