Lockport had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Homewood-Flossmoor on Tuesday. The Porters blew past the Vikings 8-2. The Porters might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

Bridget Faut tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Rheanna Slavicek, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Way, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Lockport was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Homewood-Flossmoor only posted a batting average of .167.
