Softball Recap: Mounds View Comes Up Short

Mounds View made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Forest Lake, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Mustangs fell just short of the Rangers by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rangers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 two weeks ago.

Mounds View's loss was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Forest Lake, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mounds View will face off against rival Cretin-Derham Hall at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Forest Lake is set to challenge their familiar foe Roseville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
