Volleyball Recap: Verdugo Hills Comes Up Short

If Verdugo Hills was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Monroe last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Verdugo Hills came up short against the Poly Parrots on Monday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Parrots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on March 3rd.

While Verdugo Hills was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-18, 25-20.

Verdugo Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Poly, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
