Basketball Recap: Eminence Comes Up Short

Eminence easily dispatched Seven Oaks Classical last Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Eminence Eels fell just short of the Indiana Math & Science Academy North Knights by a score of 40-38 on Saturday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-43 on December 6th.

Indiana Math & Science Academy North's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Spencer Turner led the charge by going 6 for 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 25 points and five rebounds. The game was Turner's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Giovani Abel was another key player, putting up nine points.

Eminence has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season. As for Indiana Math & Science Academy North, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Eminence will host Central Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Indiana Math & Science Academy North, they will venture away from home to take on Victory College Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Indiana Math & Science Academy North is facing Victory College Prep at the right time seeing as Victory College Prep is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
