Desert Pines is 7-0 against Legacy since December of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Desert Pines Jaguars' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Legacy Longhorns at 10:30 a.m. on January 20th. Desert Pines has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 315 points over their last five games.

Even though Silverado scored an imposing 60 points on Tuesday, Desert Pines still came out on top. Desert Pines had just enough and edged Silverado out 63-60. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Desert Pines has posted yet this season.

Desert Pines got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Prince Davis out in front who scored 18 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Damonte Duhart, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Legacy faced Cimarron-Memorial in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Legacy walked away with a 58-50 win over Cimarron-Memorial on Friday.

It was another big night for Rahjon Chambers, who scored 22 points. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. Maven-Bell Toleafoa was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

Desert Pines has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-8 record this season. As for Legacy, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-7.

Desert Pines strolled past Legacy in their previous matchup back in November of 2022 by a score of 71-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for Desert Pines since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
