Baseball Game Preview: Coconino Panthers vs. Bradshaw Mountain Bears

For the second straight game, Coconino will face off against Bradshaw Mountain. The Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Coconino is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

Coconino made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Bradshaw Mountain, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Panthers blew past the Bears 12-1 on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Ezra Merrell tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Coconino is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-11-1 otherwise.

Coconino's record is now 8-12-1. As for Bradshaw Mountain, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-4.
