Basketball Recap: Stigler Takes a Loss

Stigler lost against Pocola back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Stigler Panthers took a 70-55 bruising from the Pocola Indians. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Indians are ranked 102nd).

Stigler now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Pocola, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stigler will challenge Talihina at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pocola, they will square off against Hartshorne at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Pocola's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matches.
