Soccer Game Preview: Bruton vs. Warhill

The Bruton Panthers will challenge the Warhill Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Bruton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season.

Bruton took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Lancaster as they made off with a 9-1 victory. With Bruton ahead 5-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Their offense was hitting Lancaster from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Eli Mitchell led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Warhill waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Tigers. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Warhill were the better team in the second half.

Warhill's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three matchups. As for Bruton, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5-1.
