Basketball Recap: Anthony Magock Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Bridge to Independence

After losing to Bridge to Independence the last time they met, Pathways decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Pathways Eagles came out on top against the Bridge to Independence Wildcats by a score of 83-70 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Pathways' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anthony Magock, who posted 27 points. The dominant performance gave Magock a new career-high in points. Tarik Fadel Mula was another key player, putting up 19 points.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Micah Becker, who shot 57% from the field en route to 22 points and three steals. Becker is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 19 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaydan Jeantinord, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds.

Pathways' victory bumped their record up to 16-10. As for Bridge to Independence, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-8.
