Basketball Recap: Timberline Comes Up Short

Timberline was the 68-64 winner over Silas when they last played one another on February 4th, but their luck changed this time around. The Timberline Blazers fell 52-43 to the Silas Rams on Saturday. The Blazers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Timberline lost, don't look at Kenyon Simmons. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 13 points and 14 boards. Simmons has become a key player for Timberline: the team is 13-6 when he posts at least eight rebounds, but 2-8 otherwise. Arilson Lima also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Timberline's record now sits at 15-14. As for Silas, they now also have a winning record of 15-14.

Timberline does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Silas, they will face off against Liberty at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
