Basketball Recap: Jefferson Bears vs. Flat Rock Rams
Jefferson extended their losing streak to seven on Thursday, dropping them down to 5-16. They took a hard 57-41 fall against the Flat Rock Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-37 back in January.
As for Flat Rock, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. With that victory, they brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.
Madleen Hussein was her usual excellent self, going 9-for-18 on her way to 25 points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists. What's more, she also posted a 50% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2025. Lily Klein was another key player, shooting 75% from the field to rack up 13 points and six boards.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Jefferson will square off against rival Milan at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Flat Rock is set to take on their familiar foe Airport at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
