Football Recap: Mt. Pleasant Starts off Right with Win over Battle Creek

Mt. Pleasant had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Battle Creek Grizzlies 41-0 on Friday. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Tigers had established a 35-point advantage.

Kayden McCrory went supernova, rushing for 118 yards and a pair of scores on only 12 carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards.

Looking ahead, Mt. Pleasant will be playing in front of their home fans against Zion Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Battle Creek, they will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Columbia Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
