Recap: Lorena Leopards vs. Columbus Cardinals

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Lorena Leopards walked away with it. They were the clear victor by a 42-21 margin over the Cardinals. Winning may never get old, but Lorena sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

It was another big night for Braylon Henry, who rushed for 221 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Henry is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last ten games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Roberts, who rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown.

Lorena pushed their record up to 11-2 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Columbus, their defeat ended a 15-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 12-1.

Lorena will look to defend their home field on Friday against Franklin at 7:00 p.m. Franklin is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Columbus does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
