Football Game Preview: Chambers Cougars vs. Independence Patriots + How To Watch

The Chambers Cougars will head out on the road to take on the Independence Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chambers' offense hasn't had much luck over their past three contests, but Friday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

Last Friday, Chambers came up short against Butler and fell 23-12.

Even if they lost, Chambers' defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Tj Burgess, Ahmire Byrd, and Darrell Rice, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Meanwhile, Independence faced West Charlotte in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Patriots lost 31-7 to the Lions.

Chambers' loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Independence, the defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 4-2.

Everything came up roses for Chambers against Independence when the teams last played back in September of 2016, as the squad secured a 52-14 win. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
