Volleyball Recap: Calvary Christian Academy Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Calvary Christian Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Calvary West Christian HUSKIES by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Defenders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the HUSKIES apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

While Calvary Christian Academy ultimately came up short, they really made Calvary West Christian work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 27-25, 26-28, 25-21, 15-8.

Looking ahead, Calvary Christian Academy will take on Job Corps at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Calvary West Christian will be paying especially close attention to the Defenders' contest: after the Defenders face off against Non Varsity Opponent, they'll take on Calvary West Christian again at 12:00 p.m. on September 13.
