Baseball Game Preview: Dumas Demons vs. Seminole Indians

The Dumas Demons will be taking part in a tournament against the Seminole Indians at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Monday, Dumas came up short against Levelland and fell 7-4.

Meanwhile, Seminole won against Levelland two weeks ago with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. Seminole was the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over Denver City. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Obed Reyes was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). Reyes was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-5 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Jaycen Robledo was a standout: he scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Michael Ray, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Seminole kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Denver City onlymanaged four hits.
