Meanwhile, Imagine Prep got themselves on the board against Imagine Prep Coolidge on Friday, but Imagine Prep Coolidge never followed suit. They really took it to the Eagles for the full four quarters, racking up a 41-0 win at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Storm.
Imagine Prep can attribute much of their success to Mario Acosta-Styles, who gained 160 total yards and three touchdowns, and Hunter Price, who threw for 150 yards and three touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. Acosta-Styles got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 65 yards. Jaylen Cassidy got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.
Imagine Prep's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Quassan Cunningham.
The victory got Berean Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Imagine Prep, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
