Southlands Christian came tearing into Thursday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Fairmont Prep Huskies. Considering the Eagles have won 11 matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Southlands Christian's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Fairmont Prep, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southlands Christian will welcome Legacy College Prep at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fairmont Prep, they will be playing at home against Calvary Chapel on Tuesday. The contest will give the Huskies their first taste of in-conference action this season.
