Softball Recap: Kentridge Wins Going Away Against Mt. Rainier

Kentridge barely beat Mt. Rainier the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Chargers put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 11-1 victory on Monday. The Chargers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by six runs or more this season.

Genesis Miller was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Sam Holbrook also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Kentridge has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Mt. Rainier, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Coming up, Kentridge will take on Tahoma at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bears will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Chargers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mt. Rainier, they will challenge Auburn at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
