Madison lost to Coronado on Tuesday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Warhawks narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Islanders 2-1.

Madison saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack O'Toole, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Madison has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Coronado, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison will square off against Scripps Ranch at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warhawks are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Coronado, they will take on Mira Mesa at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
