Basketball Recap: Farrell Extends Winning Streak to Three

Farrell had won two straight games and Juelz Johnson did his part to make it three on Tuesday. The Farrell Steelers came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 71-67 W against the Sharon Tigers thanks in part to Johnson, who dropped a triple-double with 24 points, ten rebounds, and 12 assists. He has become a key player for Farrell: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least eight assists, but 6-9 otherwise.

The team also got some help courtesy of Dorean Cain, who made all 6 shots he took for 12 points. Those 12 points gave him a new career-high.

Farrell's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Sharon, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-7.

Looking ahead, Farrell will head out to take on Slippery Rock at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Farrell's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups. Sharon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
