Preview: Colonel Richardson Colonels vs. Pocomoke Warriors
The Colonel Richardson Colonels are on the road again on Tuesday and play against the Pocomoke Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Colonel Richardson took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 82-46 win over St. Michaels. That 82-46 margin sets a new team best for Colonel Richardson this season.
Meanwhile, Pocomoke put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Crisfield with a sharp 83-58 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Jamir Roberts was his usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 25 points, ten assists, and ten steals. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for him. Michael Ames was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with seven steals.
Colonel Richardson now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Pocomoke, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
Colonel Richardson took a serious blow against Pocomoke in their previous matchup back in December of 2014, falling 82-39. Thankfully for Colonel Richardson, Tyler Nixon (who scored 16 points along with five assists and five rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
