Basketball Recap: Brilliant Takes a Loss

Brilliant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Pickens County Tornadoes and fell 70-27.

Brilliant's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Pickens County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 3-9 record this season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Brilliant Tigers face off against the Hackleburg Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hackleburg will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Brilliant surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pickens County, they will face off against Bessemer City at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Pickens County is facing Bessemer City at the right time seeing as Bessemer City is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
