Recap: Fort Collins Lambkins vs. Horizon Hawks

Even though the Horizon Hawks scored an imposing 76 points on Tuesday, the Fort Collins Lambkins still came out on top. Fort Collins walked away with an 83-76 win over Horizon. The win made it back-to-back wins for Fort Collins.

Fort Collins had a senior duo take command as Jayce King scored 34 points along with five rebounds and Jackson Folkestad dropped a double-double on 28 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Folkestad has scored all season. Marcus Burkett was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brady Greene, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Greene has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kaden Northrup, who scored 23 points along with six assists and five rebounds.

Fort Collins has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Horizon, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

Fort Collins will head out on the road to face off against Brighton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Collins knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 matchups -- so hopefully Brighton likes a good challenge. As for Horizon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Legacy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Legacy will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Horizon surely won't give up without a fight.
