Football Game Preview: Santee vs. Spalding Academy

After two weeks on the road, Spalding Academy is heading back home. On Friday they take on Santee . Santee will need to watch out since Spalding Academy have now posted big point totals in their last six contests.

Last Friday, Spalding Academy put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They steamrollered Walthill 78-12. Senior Colton Leslie was the offensive standout of the match for Spalding Academy, as he passed for 215 yards and 6 touchdowns. If you haven't heard Leslie's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past six games.

Meanwhile, if Santee were riding high off their 66-31 takedown of Elba two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Santee were completely outmatched, falling 12-58 to St. Edward. Santee were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-39.

The last time the two teams met, Spalding Academy won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Santee 1-0. Will Spalding Academy repeat their success, or does Santee have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
