Softball Game Preview: Harding Skippers vs. Lake Catholic Cougars

The Harding Skippers will square off against the Lake Catholic Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Harding is looking for their season's first win.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Harding and Bristol meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Skippers came up short against the Panthers, falling 18-2. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Skippers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Harding saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Beyla Sadler, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Lake Catholic fell victim to Holy Name and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 13-0 to the Green Wave. The game marked the first time this season in which the Cougars were not able to get on the board.

Lake Catholic dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Harding, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.
