After losing to Apollo the last time they met, Webster County decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Webster County Trojans blew past the Apollo Eagles 53-23 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Trojans have posted against the Eagles since December 22, 2018.

Despite the defeat, Apollo had strong showings from Jessica Lee, who posted three points along with ten boards and three steals, and Lashay Vera, who earned five points and eight rebounds. That's the most steals Lee has posted since back in December of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Webster County and bumps their season record up to 9-12. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points over those games. As for Apollo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 2-18 record this season.

Coming up, Webster County will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Madisonville-North Hopkins at 7:00 p.m. As for Apollo, they will head out to take on Clinton County at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Apollo is facing Clinton County at the right time seeing as Clinton County is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
