Baseball Game Preview: Beverly Panthers vs. Andover Golden Warriors

The Beverly Panthers will challenge the Andover Golden Warriors at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Beverly is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Beverly is headed into the game having just suffered their closest defeat since May 6, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of Peabody Veterans Memorial by a score of 4-2. Panthers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Tanners since on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Andover, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Lowell a 7-0 shutout on Thursday. The contest marked the Golden Warriors' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Chris Jaillet made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
