Softball Recap: Oak Ridge Takes a Loss

Oak Ridge lost against West back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 8-7. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gloria Rust made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Lindsay Faulkner also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Oak Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for West, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oak Ridge will take on Powell at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last four games the Panthers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for West, they will square off against Webb at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
