Basketball Game Preview: Strasburg-Franklin Tigers vs. Claymont Mustangs

The Strasburg-Franklin Tigers will face off against the Claymont Mustangs at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Tuesday, Strasburg-Franklin came up short against East Canton and fell 40-33. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Claymont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against Indian Valley, falling 66-25. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 636th, while the Braves are ranked 138th).

Claymont's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Strasburg-Franklin, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Things could have been worse for Strasburg-Franklin, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-40 loss to Claymont when the teams last played back in January of 2024.
