Softball Recap: Mountain Brook Finds Playoff Glory Versus Woodlawn

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Mountain Brook walked away with it. They never let the Woodlawn Colonels get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Friday. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Colonels recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Reagan Rape was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Claire Robinett was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base.

Mountain Brook was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .818. They are 9-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Mountain Brook's win bumped their record up to 13-28. As for Woodlawn, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Mountain Brook beat Woodlawn by a score of 15-0 on Saturday.
