Alamogordo has gone a perfect 10-0 against Gadsden recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Tigers will face off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. The last three games Alamogordo has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Alamogordo is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Mexico's top teams: Las Cruces, who was ranked fifth at the time (Alamogordo was ranked seventh). The Tigers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Bulldawgs 11-9. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by exactly two runs.

Meanwhile, Gadsden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They came up short against Mayfield, falling 13-2.

Gadsden saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Krystal Lucero, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Alamogordo is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Gadsden, their loss dropped their record down to 5-18.

Alamogordo took their victory against Gadsden when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 14-3 score. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
