Softball Game Preview: Clark Chargers vs. Foothill Falcons

The Clark Chargers will venture away from home to face off against the Foothill Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Clark heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Wednesday. They fell 8-3 to Desert Oasis. The Chargers have struggled against the Diamondbacks recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Foothill's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of Legacy by a score of 12-11.

Hailey Gilbertson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Kendall Miller, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

Foothill now has a losing record of 10-11-1. As for Clark, their loss dropped their record down to 14-8-1.

Clark might still be hurting after the 15-0 defeat they got from Foothill in their previous matchup back in April of 2019. Can the Chargers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
