Football Recap: T.L. Hanna Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

T.L. Hanna had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 30-10 to the James F. Byrnes Rebels on Friday. The Yellow Jackets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 20-0.

Gavin Magin threw for 126 yards on seven of 13 attempts. Jaylon Watson was his top target, picking up 36 receiving yards.

Tre Segarra went supernova For James F. Byrnes., rushing for 134 yards and a pair of scores on only 13 carries. Segarra really tore up the turf during one magnificent 93-yard run. Caine Rogers was another key player, throwing for 237 yards and one touchdown.

T.L. Hanna will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Westside at 7:30 p.m. on the 5th. As for James F. Byrnes, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 35-32 loss against Irmo on the 29th.
