Volleyball Recap: Amelia Academy Wins Going Away Against Banner Christian

Amelia Academy's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Banner Christian Bearcats. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Bearcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Amelia Academy was: they took every set by at least 19 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-2, 25-6.

Maddison Wilburn had a dynamite game, getting 21 aces and two assists. Those 21 aces gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isabella Long, who had nine kills and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Amelia Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 34 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Amelia Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Banner Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.
