Baseball Recap: Northwest Wins Going Away Against Orrville

Northwest came out on top against Orrville on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Indians were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Red Riders. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won three games by six runs or more so far this season.

Sean Ritchey and Zander Roncaglione did most of the damage at the plate: Ritchey went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI, while Roncaglione earned one RBI, one run, and two stolen bases. That RBI was Roncaglione's first of the season. Branded Miller was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

The win got Northwest back to even at 4-4. As for Orrville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Northwest will have a chance to go back-to-back against Orrville: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
